The Congregation of Jacob, the 12 tribes of Israel

1100 B.C.  Saul and the Kingdom of Israel (Capital: Jerusalem).

Under the second King, David, expanded its military power and conquests.

The 3rd King Solomon, took the Kingdom to a prosperity known by all neighbors. He actively worked and traded with the Phoenicians and Assyrians. The Kingdom split right after his death (974 BC.).

First, the Northern Kingdom was invaded by the Assyrians (Capital Damascus was destroyed).

Later, the Southern Kingdom (Jerusalem) was utterly destroyed by the Babylonians around 600 B.C. The survivors fled or were taken captive.

The tribe of Levi lived among the other tribes as they were the Priests for the other tribes.

A survey done in Israel. But is the question correct?

If Jews are descendants from the split Kingdom of Israel or Judah, it is then indeed be the 10 lost tribes.

If Jews are the descendants of only the tribe of Judah, then it should be 11 lost tribes.

According to the question, Jews are of the tribes of Judah and Simeon. But I suspect the other tribes must have fled to Judah when conquered.

By God’s grace, I have detailed my solid and most convincing position, that there is nothing as “The Ten Lost Tribes of Israel” in my book: AFRICA IN GOD’S PLAN AND PURPOSE (2006,2018), on pages 40 to 44.Google
