26 weeks of protests for the Yellow Vests. Life is barely survivable for too many. The government has no solution in sight, except for maybe a slight reduction in taxes by 2021.
I suspect Frenchy’s do not want to own anything but want the government to provide for them. They still haven’t realized that 40 years of Socialism has done them in.
Socialism is a range of economic and social systems characterised by social ownership and democratic control of the means of production as well as the political theories and movements associated with them. Social ownership may refer to forms of public, collective or cooperative ownership, or to citizen ownership of equity.
Capitalism is an economic system based on the private ownership of the means of production and their operation for profit. Characteristics central to capitalism include private property, capital accumulation, wage labor, voluntary exchange, a price system, and competitive markets. In a capitalist market economy, decision-making and investment are determined by every owner of wealth, property or production ability in financial and capital markets, whereas prices and the distribution of goods and services are mainly determined by competition in goods and services markets.
Are the United States a Capitalist country? NO, not in its purest sense. The state or states have a lot of control over the actions of owners or business owners. Owners are not entirely owners, as the state can easily suppress ownership by seizing properties and businesses if the required Taxes and fines are not paid. The control of the state is exerted with Laws.
The US was meant to be a nation based on Liberty, and Government’s role was to protect those Liberties. The liberty of one can be affected by the actions of the other, that is why laws were initially set, to protect one vs. another. The onset intentions where good, but a government not subjected to scrutiny tends to become corrupt.
Law makers can easily be corrupted by the richest owners or Corporations, and laws tend to be made in favor of Conglomerates or in some cases international conglomerates. Most lawmakers/politicians enter government with very little wealth, and almost always become very rich. In the deepest sense of corruption, laws can be applied or not depending on the entity or owner. This is why larger businesses or companies tend to grow exponentially. Monopolies appear at all levels of goods, while Anti-Trust laws are seldom enforced. Separation of state and the power of money is often a very thin line. Most lobbyists are nothing less than dispensers of bribe money, advantages, and assets.
The US started off well, with a good system, but time eroded its perfect law of Liberty. Rights were diminished, and control of the state grew in way were it affects lives at every level.
Communism is the philosophical, social, political, and economic ideology and movement whose ultimate goal is the establishment of the communist society, which is a socioeconomic order structured upon the common ownership of the means of production and the ‘absence of social classes, money, and the state’.
Absence of State?
It would be impossible to enforce the equal distribution of goods and services without a state system.
What of motivation?
Motivation has typically been low in any Communist system in history, and most have failed. Who would want to do better if the reward is the same? People tend to be motivated by a few things: recognition and benefits.
Where ever there is benefits, communism goes out the window.
Are People equal?
No, people are all different. Some are strong, some are smarter, some are mostly good, some are mostly evil…
Should People have Equal Rights?
Yes, people should have equal rights protected by a government system. People have equal rights in the sight of God.
